I write various types of non-fiction. In a previous incarnation as a freelance writer, I wrote both corporate material and periodical work.
I'm no longer freelancing, but I'll always be writing; I can't imagine life without it. Now my literary non-fiction is beginning to be published.

One of the more interesting sidelines of being a writer is the opportunity to act as a judge for writing contests.
I've been a judge for a range of competitions, from high school poetry slams to provincial book awards.

I also like public speaking of any kind and have done a great deal of it. I taught composition for seven years at the University of Regina, and I've presented outside the university environment to audiences of all ages and backgrounds.
